Public Information Committee

Mission Statement and Functions of the Public Information Committee

  1. To carry the A.A. message to the alcoholic who still suffers, always mindful of the importance of personal anonymity. Members carry the message to the general public, including the media.
  2. To help keep the A.A. Fellowship informed of the services this committee performs on behalf of A.A.
  3. The purpose of P.I. service work is to provide accurate A.A. information to the public when requested. P.I. committees visit schools, businesses, and community meetings for this purpose. They also serve as resources for our friends in the local media, emphasizing our Traditions of anonymity, singleness of purpose, and non-affiliation, as well as offering A.A. public service announcements to radio and television stations.

This Committee maintains the District 04 Meeting List, the District 04 AA Hotline (1-888-292-6777), and the District 04 Website.
